The Fotheringhay Annual Piano Recital this year is on Saturday 23 June in the church at 7:30. International Concert Pianist, James Kirby, will play a programme to include:
Schubert – Unfinished sonata in F sharp minor D571 – first movement
Beethoven – Sonata in E major Op 14 No. 1
Liszt – Six Pieces from “Annees de Peterinage” Book One (Suisse)
Schubert – Sonata in B flat D960
James is a soloist and chamber musician. His recital work takes him to major concert appearances in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Holland, the Czech Republic, Bermuda, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, as well as the UK. He has a very interesting and diverse career, emulated by very few people.

The popular programme of ‘Easy Sunday’ Music concerts, organised by Sandra Cochrane, returns to Fotheringhay Church on Sundays at 3:00pm.
There is no charge for the Easy Sunday Music concerts, with all donations going to expenses and to the practical running costs of the church.

Jim and Faye Lovvorn recently visited Fotheringhay Church to have their wedding vows renewed. Rev Anne Hindle conducted the service.
Faye, first visited Fotheringhay Church while her father was stationed at RAF Alconbury in 1970. Faye’s dream was to be married at the church, however she and he husband Jim were unable to make that happen and in 1974 they were married in Texas.
Jim’s gift to Faye after 44 years of marriage to make her long awaited dream come true and so they had their wedding vows renewed there in early May this year.
To quote Jim; “Fotheringhay Church will always have a special place in our hearts.”
